Presonus 32R
Where are all the knobs? What's an iPad? Let's look into that.
I will be using the Presonus 32R rack mount mixer.
Inputs
First lets start with inputs! As the name suggest there are 32 inputs. You can plug in a 1/4 inch jack or XLR cable with these input jacks!
Aux
Aux is a way to send your instruments to another output. These can be used for your monitors, livestream, or other mix. You can choose to make it aux, sub, or matrix
Pan
Simply pans between your left and right outputs. Slide the bar to the left and right to pan respectively. <C> Indicates it is in the center.
Mute
The mute button simply stops the signal from reaching your outputs.
Solo
This button allows you to see the input of the channel into the board and listen to the selected channel(s) using the "Phones" or headphones output in the top right of the board. You can select multiple inputs to see how they work together in your mix. Note you will want "flat" headphones so your perception of the sound is not thrown off.
Tape Input
This an input using an RCA cable on the back of the board. Usually, one would use Tape input for an aux to RCA cable. This allows you to play music from a phone or other device.
Main Out and Outputs
This is your Main Output for the board. Main L and R are often referred to as "Mains". You are then given 16 1/4 Inch outputs.
Honestly you cant cover it all as neatly using a website. Here is the user PDF:
